Traditional Tuscan Chestnut




Ingredients:

- 300 gr
Chestnut Flour - 1 cup milk
-
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil - 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
-
grated rind of 1 orange - 1 handful pine nuts
- some broken walnuts
- 1 handful Raisins
-
1 pinch salt - 2 tablespoons butter

procedure


Soak the raisins in warm water.
ina a bowl sieve the flour chestnuts, salt, sugar, a teaspoon of oil and, little by little the milk.
Always stirring with a wooden spoon, add water too in order to obtain a smooth batter and smooth.
Add raisins, orange peel, pine nuts and chopped nuts.
Mix all ingredients, stirring carefully.
Butter a round baking pan with low sides and pour the mixture.
Wet the surface with a little oil and sprinkle it with some butter.
Pass the chestnut in hot oven and bake for 1 hour at 200 °, until the surface will have formed a thick crust of dark brown color.

Variants
Instead
elements sweets (candies, raisins and nuts) you can use a mix without added chestnut cake and sprinkle with the rosemary leaves before putting in oven.
